Wetherden Village Hall Recently Refurbished

The Village Hall Management Council operates as a registered Charity (No.252721) and consists entirely of volunteers, plus a nominee from St Mary’s Church.

The Council meets approximately 3 - 4 times per year and has it’s AGM in November.

Meetings usually last for between 1 and 1½ hours and are usually held at the hall on a Monday evening at 7.30 p.m.

The hall is self-financed in that it’s annual running expenses are entirely funded from hire income, plus occasional generous donations from Woolpit Steam. The Wetherden Activities Committee and other local residents.

Major refurbishment projects over the last few years also have received external funding from various sources including  Mid-Suffolk District Council, Suffolk County Council, County Councillor Andrew Stringer,

District Councillor Rachel Eburne and the Big Lottery Fund.

The Regular Activities page on this website shows that the hall is valuable community asset providing facilities for a number of clubs, societies, committees, sporting and social events as well as a venue for private functions and parties, etc. Current Council Members are:
